Pegasi
This is our lovely Pegasus ornament. In Greek mythology,
Pegasus was the winged horse of the Muses, born of the blood of the decapitated Medusa. He
was tamed by Bellerophon with the aid of a golden bridle given him by Athena. When
Bellerophon tried to ride the horse to heaven, Pegasus, stung by a gadfly sent by Zeus,
threw him and continued the ascent alone, becoming the constellation of the same name. A
kick from his hoof created the fountain of Hippocrene, the source of poetic
inspiration. Always an endearing favorite of all who love animals, this piece is
sure to please anyone whom you purchase it for. Please mention Pegasi Ornament
